敬語は、話す相手（聞き手）や話題にする人に対する敬意を表す上級の表現方法なのね。

敬語や丁寧語は、初対面同士を、すっと近づける魔法の言葉だとロバートさんは言いました。

「来日したころ、コンビニのおにぎりの開け方」がわからなくて考えてたら、1人の女性が「ちょっとよろしいですか？」と声をかけてくれた。

彼女はパパパッと海苔とおにぎりをセットしてくれたそうです。

謙譲語は「申し上げる」
