今回は、お姫様の玩具だった紀州手まり

その美しさをご紹介します

♪　てんてんてんまり　てん手まり・・・

メロディーは日本人ならご存知の「まりと殿様」

紀州は今の和歌山県。八代将軍・吉宗の故郷ですね。

和歌山城は立派できれいです。紅葉の頃も素敵。

手まりは紀州の名産でした。

現在でも、作り続ける方はいらっしゃいます。

Kishu is Wakayama Prefecture today.It is the hometown of Yoshimune, the eighth shogun.Wakayama Castle is splendid and beautiful.It is wonderful like a picture at the time of autumn leaves.The beautiful Temari Ball was a special product of Kishu.Even now, there are people who continue to make it.

紀州手まりの初めはお姫さんの遊び道具でした。

いつしか城下町へ広まって、長く、一般家庭で女の子の玩具として作られていたそうです。

これは存じませんでしたので「へー！」驚きました。

　おうちで、こんなきれいでかわいい鞠が作れるなんて！

　Kishu TemariAt first, it was a princess's plaything.It spread to the castle town before one is time, and it is said that it was made as a girl's toy for a long time in a general household.I was surprised because I didn't know this.To be able to make such a beautiful and cute rabbit at home!

まり1つの製作には、1〜2週間かかるとのこと。

紀州手まりの匠・宮脇俊美さんにしてそうですから、わたくしなら、きっと1カ月かかるでしょう😅　

　It takes one to two weeks to produce one.As is the case with Toshimi Miyawaki, a craftsman of Kishu Temari, I'm sure it will take a month.

「綺麗な色糸の手まりの内部は、どうなっているの？」

不思議に思っていましたが、やっと知ることができました！

　楽しい気分！

　"What's going on inside the beautiful colored thread? 」I was wondering, but I finally got to know!It's a fun feeling!I'd like to introduce you to everyone!I'm sure you'll be interested.

紀州手まりの作られ方

⑴　先ず、鈴が綿に包まれます。

First of all, the bell is wrapped in cotton.

⑵　鈴をくるんだ綿の上から、さらに綿が何重にも巻きつけられます。

From the top of the cotton wrapped in a bell, cotton is wrapped many more and more.

⑶　巻きつけた綿の上から糸を巻きつけます。

徐々に球体にしていくそうですが・・・大変難しそう。ここがキーですね。

Roll the thread over the cotton you wrapped around it.It seems to gradually become a sphere.It's very difficult.

⑷　左の指で鞠を回す力と、右の糸の引く力加減の強弱によって、球体へ近づけていくとのこと。

It approaches the sphere by the strength of the force to turn the pass with the left finger and the pulling force of the right thread.

⑸　ほぼ球体に土台ができました。さすがです！

　The foundation was almost made in the sphere.

⑹　「地割り」メジャーで赤道辺りを測り、待ち針でマーキングされ、金糸で均等に分割されます。地球儀みたいですね。

　"JI-WARI"　Measure the area around the red road with a measure, mark it with a waiting hand, and divide evenly with a gold thread. It's like a globe, isn't it?

⑹-2　球体の土台は、まち針に沿って分割されます。

The base of the sphere is divided along the town needle.

⑺　デザインによって分割数はかわるそうです。写真は16分割。

The number of divisions seems to be different depending on the design. The photo is divided into 16 parts.

⑼　　刺繍糸で土台の表面がかがられます。

　The surface of the foundation is twisted by embroidery thread.

10　色糸がだんだん重ねられます。

The colored thread is gradually piled up.

11　最初はわからなかった模様が表れてきます。

Gradually, a pattern that was not understood at first will be shown.

11ー1　紀州手まりに、色糸が巻き付けられていきます。

The colored thread is wrapped around Kishu Temari.

12　仕上げは、刺繍糸でかがられます。

　The finish is made of embroidery thread.

菊模様。菊は皇室のシンボルの花でもありますね。

　Chrysanthemums are also the symbol of the Imperial family.

鶴と松　　長寿と幸せのモチーフ鶴のデザイン。

2005年・和歌山国体の時には、このミニ手まりストラップが、なんと！9347個も作られました。

紀州手まりの匠・宮脇俊美さんに、市民が習って作られたそうです

　In order to commemorate The Wakayama National Body in 2005, this mini hand strap was made. That number, what! 9347 pieces!It seems that the citizens learned from Maestra Miyawaki Toshimi of Kishu Temari and made it together.

手まりを投げて受け止めると内部の鈴がチリン。可愛らしいです。

When the play is received, the bell inside sounds pretty.

And the children want to throw again.

紀州手まり　基本の模様　Basic patterns

①五色ざる ② ばら　③ ねじり梅　④ 春雨　⑤花菱　⑥升かがり　⑦紡錘形　⑧三羽根亀甲　⑨ききょう　10巻きかがり

みなさまなら、なに色を組んで作られますか？

ブルー系・グリーン系もステキ黄色オレンジのビタミンカラーは、飾ってるのを見ると元気になるでしょうね！

わたくしは・・・

ピンク系だけのグラデーションで作ってみたいですねー。

ごく薄いピンク色〜優しいピンク色とちょっとだけはっきりめのピンク色。

強い色は一切、使わんと・・・桜の共演か競演みたいな感じに作ってみとぉおす。　見るたんびにホッコリしそう☺️
