美しい竹林は、外国人には珍しいそうです

わたくしたちには、生まれたときから馴染んだ風景ですね。

竹林にある、清しさや、

ちょっと不思議なムードは今でも好きです

The Bamboo Grove is a familiar scenery to we. I still like the silent drifting in a bamboo grove and a little strange mood.

竹は

古くから建材や生活道具として重宝されてきました。

籠（kago）、ザル、桶の箍（taga）、建具、家具に

庭の垣・・・

Bamboo has been useful for building ,materials and living tools since ancient times.

竹は他の木材と同じく、充分に乾燥させて使われます。

乾燥すると白くなります。

琵琶湖には、昔から葦が良く生えていました。

葦の水辺には鳥たちが集います。
