About YU(H)ZEN-ZOME (dyeing) KYOTO

KIMONOを履き違えている外国人はまだまだ多いようですが、

まずは

日本人のみなさんが

着物はハイスキルの固まりであると

よくよくご存知でいることが肝心かな、と思います。

自国・母国の伝統衣装のことを全く知らないでいて

グローバル社会にはなれませんもの。

この京友禅の記事で、

「わぁ！すごい！」っと思ってもらえましたら

幸いです

京友禅は

手間と技をかけた

染めの着物です。

加えて、

刺繍や金粉や金箔銀箔・プラチナ箔などで

豪華に仕上げられた

伝統のきものです。

KYO-YUHZEN

It’s the KIMONO was dyed gorgeously . and with golden thread , gold leaves , silver leaves , platinum leaves .

It KYOTO’s tradition of Luxuly one .

友禅が登場するまでは

ゴージャスな着物といえば

金糸銀糸の織の着物でした。大変、重い着物です。歌舞伎や能や花嫁の打掛けに見られますね。

Till then ,

the gorgeous kimono was the kimono of the texture of the gilt thread silver thread.

1683　奢侈禁止令（ゼイタク禁止令）

Then , rich merchant’s wife & doubters could not wear rich Kimono .

( allowed only simple & plain Kimono )

でも、

「オシャレしたい！」

But “ We wanna dress up “ “ We wanna wear better KIMONO "

その頃、

洛中でお扇子に絵を描いていた「宮崎友禅斎」さん

　（元禄期1688〜1704のどこかで活躍されたが生没年未詳）

In those days , there was a man who paint wonderful design [ Yu(h)zen-sai MIYA-ZAKI ]

華やかな扇絵（扇子の絵付）を見た人々から、

着物の絵柄を頼まれたらしい

友禅斎さんは、

絵付（染め）だけで、

金糸銀糸の豪華な着物に劣らない、

華やかな「染めの着物』を作り出したそうです。

Someone did request him “ You must paint on Kimono ! “ (It seems so)

and He produced luxury Kimono without golden things .

It not a extravagance .

But it’s the luxury looks Kimono !

それこそが「友禅染め」の誕生でした。

YU(H)-ZEN-ZOME was bone .

友禅染めは、さっそく、

大人気となりました。

It was very popular at once !

都で もてはやされていた

友禅染めは、北陸へ伝わり、

加賀友禅となって今に至ります。

and , it was introduced into HOLI-RIKU pref. KAGA domain ,

and that resulted as KAGA-YU(H)ZEN now.

最近は、プリントで "友禅染め風” が販売されていますが、佇まい（ルックスの価値）の差は歴然。

Recently ,there are printed “ like Yuzen “ But , its looks is cheap . attention that type.

one of the silk Kimono dyeing processes, the characteristic pattern of it being the clearly printed flowers and birds, plants and trees, or mountains and rivers.

友禅染めには2種類あります

①「手描き友禅」と②「擦り友禅」

There are 2 type of YUH-ZEN ;

[ TEGAKI-YUH-ZEN ] handdrawn

[SURI-TUH-ZEN ] using many template

①　手描き友禅 HANDDROWN YUHZEN

輪郭がはっきりとして、色も鮮やかな豪華さが特徴。

振り袖向きと言えましょう。

As for the result, an outline becomes clear, and the color is bright, too. It may be said that it is for long-sleeved kimonos because it features magnificence.

Quant au résultat, un contour devient clair et la couleur est brillante, aussi. On peut dire que c'est pour les kimonos à manches longues parce qu'il présente la magnificence.

(作家が、振り袖をまるでキャンパスのように描いているのを何度も見ました。

が . . .そこまで行くと、もはやどなたかに着てもらう目的ではないのかしら。(⌒-⌒; )　)

②　擦り友禅 SURI-YUHZEN

伊勢型紙が使用されます。型友禅とも言われますね。

浮世絵は色ごとに版木が作られます。

擦り友禅も同じく、色ごとに伊勢型紙が作られます。

量産可能なので、手描き友禅よりも求めやすい価格となりました。

型紙のおかげで絵柄の輪郭は不要。

なので ボカシが効きます。

周りと溶け合うような、ふんわりはんなりした風情が魅力。

SURI0YU(H)ZEN As for this, ISE paper pattern is used. As for the ukiyoe print, a woodcut is made every color. A this peach is the same, and ISE paper pattern is made every color. Because I could mass-produce these, it became the price that it was easy to find than a freehand drawing yuzen. Because it is a paper pattern, a pattern does not have the outline. The color that shading off works for the pattern, and blends with a rotation is attractive.

SURI0YU(H)ZEN Quant à cela, le dessin en papier d'ISE est utilisé. Quant aux caractères d'ukiyoe, une gravure sur bois est rendue chaque couleur. Une cette pêche est le même et le dessin en papier ISE est rendu chaque couleur. Puisque je pourrais la masse - produire ceux-ci, c'est devenu le prix qu'il était facile de trouver qu'un dessin à main levée yuzen. Puisque c'est un dessin en papier, un dessin n'a pas le contour. La couleur que les ombres des travaux pour le dessin et des mélanges avec une rotation sont attrayantes.

京友禅は、友禅染めの後、

さらに絞り・金糸・螺鈿等々で飾られることも多いです

いかなるものも

「上品さ」は

最大の魅力ですね！

品の良さには

物でもお人でも惹かれます。

As for anything, "elegance" is the biggest charm!

Quant à n'importe quoi, "l'élégance" est le plus grand charme !

　　友禅つながりで・・・

加賀友禅 KAGA-TUH-ZEN

加賀藩は、京の都のトレンドをよく吸収した藩です。

花街・和装・日本庭園・茶道などなどが、もしかしたら京都市内より広く一般に浸透？してるかもしれません。

例えば、庭師の方々。

彼らは、肉体労働の後でも、茶道のお稽古をされると聞きました。

それは、顧客に茶の湯の関係者が多いので、茶席に招かれても対応できるように、とのこと。素敵なスキルアップですね。（宮大工さんたちもそうでしたかしら？？）

Kaga feudal clan is the feudal clan which took in trends of the capitals of Kyoto well. Possibly Japanese garden, tea ceremony in Japanese dress may penetrate generally widely from the Kyoto city an entertainment district. For example, it is the gardener. They heard that a lesson of the tea ceremony was done after the manual labor.

Le clan féodal de Kaga est le clan féodal qui a pris dans les tendances des capitaux de Kyoto bien. 　作業着のままでもお稽古へどうぞ、らしいです。

なるほど、茶道はおもてなし。

友禅染めに話を戻しますと、

京友禅と違って、加賀友禅は控えめ目にまとめるデザインが特徴でしたね。

私見ですが、「大きな花柄がイッパイの、華やかさを競う京友禅は天皇・公家が居た京都ならでは」

加賀友禅の、大人っぽい草花が控えめに配されたのは、

雪の白や、ベンガラの壁などに合うように、かしら？

昨年、可愛いらしい花柄のきものを見てましたら、

なんと加賀友禅でした。

最近の加賀友禅は、

可愛らしいデザインも取り入れてるようですね
