短冊と書 TAN-ZAKU & SHO

短冊 TAN-ZAKU

  和歌や俳句などを書き記す縦長の料紙です。

お料理では、この形に切る事を「短冊切り」と呼びますね。

TAN-ZAKU; strip of paper to write a tanka or haiku on.

(Tan-zaku guari ; about cuisine. cut carrots into rectangular slices.)

「書・SHO」 Brushes were introduced to JPN ,around 6th-century along with KAN-JI . Particulliar care is given to those at the very tip , so that users can execute subtle movements like sweeping strokes & sharp up ward finishes .Calligraphy teachers place particullar emphasis on the stroke order & balance .

書 SHO

【幽篁】奥深く静かな竹やぶ。

【瞑】① 目をつぶる。「瞑坐（めいざ）」「瞑想」「瞑目」

② はっきりみえない。くらい。「瞑色」「瞑氛（めいふん）」

日本舞踊にも「短冊に書く」表現があります。

和歌　筆で書く表現

舞扇が短冊に、人差し指が筆に見立てられます。

蓮月尼75歳の作品です。

この尼僧の人生は、時代の波乱に左右されましたが、高潔に生きたと伝わっております

（富岡鉄斎は蓮月尼の侍童でした）

肝心の書が薄いのは、特徴のようです。賛

「世のちりを よそにはらひて ゆく末の ちよをしめたる やとの枩（松）風」　

This nun's life, though influenced by the eventful of the Times, conveys that she lived in integrity.
