日本舞踊は歌舞伎から独立した芸能、と以前にお話しました

芝居の物語は、それぞれ異なるでしょ？

歴史上の悲劇などの シリアスもあれば、

笑わせる愉快な出し物もあります

舞踊も同じく、オモロイのも、ノリノリもあるの

劇的に美しいや、悲しいのしかない わけでは 無いの

What is your impression of Traditional Dance JPN？

There are all sorts of it.

ex ; serious historical tragedy , comical, light taste . . .

Because , KABUKI is the origin.(EDO period) of it.

It has various stories.

People loved go to the theater, but,

Dance entertainment gradually spread to the public.

Many people used to learn public entertainments, 

＆ they showed each skill in the ZASHIKI party .

ex; 

・play a musical instrument like SHAMI-SEN ,

・play some JYO-RURI /JYO-LULI narrative chanted like a song or storyteller (accompaniment of the samisen) ,

・sing HA-UTA ,DO-DO-ITSU, KO-UTA ,

・Dance   etc

Those were  hearty hospitality .

Their songs and dances brought the party to life .

Now , we can easy to enjoy nightlife.

But ,until several years after the war, only rich persons could enjoy their night life.

（common people used to enjoy at I-ZAKA-YA）

zashiki ; a Japanese-style guest room with tatami mats on the floor

zashiki party ; party in a high-class Japanese-style restaurant.

The upper classes people (DAIMYOs, master of big merchants,Celebrities) had  their party or were guests, call GEISHAs (male & female) .They used enjoy SAKE, food, conversation with each entertainment.

It was likes the Salon (fashionable society) in Paris.

Until in the 1950’s, Office workers also used to learn some GEI-NOH (public entertainments) for entertain their customers or business connection at ZASHIKI party.
