今回は真夏だけの、薄物。

薄物は、大人の特権

　Various introductions of minosuzu in Japan.

This time, it's just for midsummer kimono, USU-MONO.

It's an adult privilege.

訪問や観劇・お食事会などの

お出かけには、

大人の女性たちとしては、薄物を着ます。

うすもの。文字通り透ける様に織られた絹などの天然繊維で仕立てた着物のことです。

薄物は「真夏だけの着物」です

そして、

大人の女性の装いです。

Kimono wears USU-MONO as an adult woman when she goes out for visits, theaters and dinner suppers. USU-MONO is the meaning of thin transparent R. It is a kimono made of natural fibers such as silk woven literally transparently. usu-mono is a kimono only for midsummer.

ご注意：ゆかたは、夏の夕方以降の簡易和服です。（お祭の日は、大人でも朝から着用し、飲食店へ入っても構いません）

note: Yukata is a simple Japanese dress after the evening of summer.Only on the day of the festival, even adults can wear yukata in the morning, or you can enter the restaurant wearing yukata.

よーくご覧になって・・・彼女の肩辺りの模様が、赤く見えますね。

Look closely... the pattern of the kimono around her shoulder looks red.

袖口から見える赤色は襦袢。着物の下着です。

襦袢は、着物と同じ形です。

The red color seen from the cuffs is a JUBAN. It is underwear of the kimono. JUBAN is the same shape as the kimono.

真夏の着物は、透けるほどに織られていますので、下に着た襦袢の色が透けて見えます。

薄物は、下着が透けることを理解してコーディネートします。

Because the kimono of midsummer is woven in the transparent way, the color of woman's underwear can be seen through.

Usu-mono is coordinated with the understanding that the underwear is transparent.

現在の襦袢は、白・ピンク・水色が市販されています。

例えば、

・白の薄物に白襦袢は、キリリと決まり、着る人が暑さをものともしない、潔く、涼しい感じに見えます。

The current JUBAN is available in white, pink and light blue.For instance・The white JUBAN in the white USUMONO is determined with kiriri, and the person who wears it looks cool, too.

・白の薄物にピンク襦袢は、ほんわりムード、にはなりますが、実際に合わせてみて、品よりも、媚びてる感が気になったら、別色になさった方が、気分良くお出かけを楽しめるでしょう。

　Juban of pink in a white summer kimono, but it looks gentle, but if you don't like the feeling of actually trying it on and flattering, you'll feel better about going out on the day if you've made it a different color.

・白の薄物に水色は、目にする人へも涼を感じてもらおうという気持ちが見えて、個人的には好みです。

The coordination of the blue blue juban in the white summer kimono shows the feelings of the person who wears it to have the person who feels cool to the person who sees it.That is my preference, personally.

（好みの反物を選んで、長襦袢を仕立てれば、いかようにも作れます。ただし、「暑苦しい印象は残念」です。

あ暑苦しいとは、色数がやたらと多いなど、うるさいとかケバケバしいことを指します）

(You can choose the object of your choice and make a long JUBAN. However, do not feel hot. Hot and hard refers to the large number of colors of the fabric pattern, the noisy pattern, or the thing that is squeaky.)

哥麿『夏衣装・当世美人・越後屋仕入れ・ちぢみ向き』

呉服の越後屋から依頼された哥麿は、

「ちぢみの似合う女性たちへ」（向きの意）と題し、

品良く色香の漂う女性を見事に描きました。

黒のちぢみという薄物の1種に、白のかすり模様、赤い襦袢が透けているのを、風情として作品に仕立てたのですね。

Utamaro, who was asked to put a poster on the poster from echigoya in kimono, painted a beautiful lyrical woman with a good colored incense titled "To the women who look good in the small size.".He made it to the work as a taste that a white KASURI pattern was seen through in some places in one of USUMONO named CHIJIMI of the black cloth.

哥麿は、他の大店呉服屋からも、ポスター製作を依頼されていました。

UTAMARO was also commissioned to make posters from other large GOFUKU clothing stores.

ホタル狩りと言えば・・・

ご覧ください。江戸時代は、ホタルをこのような虫カゴに入れて、透し模様からの淡い灯を鑑賞したようです。

ずっと以前 . . . 都会では見ない蛍を1匹虫カゴに入れて、プレゼントくださった方がいました。初めてみた蛍。もちろん感動しました。でも、何も知らないこどもは、エサとして野菜など与えましたが、何も食べません . . . 。どうしていいのかわからず、訊きましたら「なにも食べないよ」　 . . . その時、とても悲しくなりました。私にホタルを見せてあげようとした大人を、なじってしまいました。「なんでつれてきはったん！連れてきたらかわいそう！見るだけの為に勝手やわ！」

何年か前に、焼き物の里を訪れた際に、本物たちの、生の灯火を見ることができました。ホタルたちは、結婚したら命を終えます。夢の様に点滅する最後の灯火は、ただ綺麗 . . .だけでなく、胸に迫りました。大事な思い出の1つです。
