【節分 SETSU-BUN】Japanese custom

旧暦では、翌日の立春から「新しい年が始まる」

その前に家からよくないことを追い出し、代わりに幸福を呼び込む縁起を担いだ風習です。

豆をぶつけて鬼を退治した昔話から、

2月3日の節分の日に「鬼は外, 福は内」と言いながら、

家の内と外に豆をまきます。旧暦では、翌日から「新しい年が始まる」その前に家からよくないことを追い出し、代わりに、幸福を呼び込む縁起を担いだ風習です。

in English ” the bean-scattering ceremony “ but it’s not ceremony.It’s custom .

英語ではそうとも言われてるそうですが、儀式ではなく、風習ですね。

節分：”the divíding day of the year ” In JPN is done the bean-scattering ceremony . On February 3rd, the eve of the first day of spring, people in Japan scatter roasted soybeans inside and outside their homes, shouting, “FUKU HA UCHI !(fortune in) , ONI HA SOTO ! ( devils out ) ”

「節分は「おばけ」で遊んだものよ 」

母が楽しそうに話してくれました。

My mother said “ When I was young , we wore disguise & had fun O-BA-KE on SETSU-BUN “

「おばけ」とは（幽霊ではなく） 時代の人に扮すること。

美しくない変な仮装とは違います。

清少納言とか、光源氏とか美しいものを真似るのです。

O-BA-KE mean ware disguise as someone beautyful ; great person ,legendary person like SEISHOH-NAGON,HIKARU-GENJI .

最近の京都花街では、ナポレオンとか王女とか

洋物もやってるようですね。

Recently, in Kyoto ,GEI-KOs & MAI-KOs ware disguise as Napoleon , princess for please the eyes of regural customers .

節分のイワシ Sardine of SETSU-BUN

現在の節分の頃は、まだ鰯は小さいので、丸ごと料理します。

　頂く食材は一物全体がよろしいのです。食材への感謝ある料理は心身ともに満たしてくれます。

When about SETSU-BUN ,sardines not big yet .

We should eat “ whole “ " all “ It’s ICHI-BUTSU-ZENTAI .

簡単ですよ！鱗をササッと取った鰯たちを フライパンに並べて玄米酢と粗糖（キビ糖）を振る。スライスした土生姜やナンバン（タカの爪でも可）を散らしたらフタをして弱火。（お魚は 先ず甘みから入れる）

途中で、醤油麹をスプーンに取って、チョッチョっと鰯の上にかけて、またフタをします。とにかく弱火！

玄米酢のおかげで頭も骨ごと食べることができます。

1,　Remove the scales.

＊ Brown rice vinegar , row sugar ,slice ginger , a little bit red peppers .

2 , Arrange sardines in frypan. add ＊.

3 , Put a lid .lower heat ,cover,simmer . . .

4 , Add SHOYU-KOHJI (Soy sauce & Kohji (a kind of yeast prepared from rice))

5 , again 3,.

【二十四節気 24 SEKKI】

太陰太陽暦で季節を正しく示すために設けた暦上のポイント。

一太陽年を24等分し，立春から交互に節気中気を設け，それぞれに名称があります。

例：一月節気を立春，一月中気を雨水，八月中気を秋分など

24 sekki : those the points for mark correct time on the lunar calender & solar calender .
