今回は「時代のお手紙」について。

歌麿『高名美人六家撰・扇屋・花扇』

UTAMARO " HANA-OOGUI "

花扇さんは、扇屋（吉原遊廓の遊女屋）の最高位の遊女でした。彼女は、さりげないけれど、良い着物を着ていますね。

　当時、高い評判でとても人気があった花扇さん。

花扇は、美しさだけでなく、その教養の高さが高名となった所以でしょう。

歌麿は、彼たちを手紙を綴る姿で描くことが多いですね。

文面を思案している美女を多く描いています。

右上をご覧ください。

判じ絵（はんじえ・言葉を絵に置き換えたもの）がありますね。意味は「おおぎ・や・はな・おうぎ」

HANA-OOGU She was a very popular harlot in YOSHI-WARA of the sensations in those days. Utamaro drew her with the figure which spelled a letter. It is an ukiyoe print divided by the inquiry with high culture with her good looks.

昔の手紙は 大きな葉っぱに書かれていたので「葉書」

先日、神社で「これは葉書になりそう」と思う葉を見ました。

Because the old letter was written to a big leaf; "HA-GAKI" I looked at the leaf which thought, "this seems to become the postcard" the other day in a shrine .

Old style LETTER was rolled . also , documents & books .

書類も本も

読み物・書かれたもの・描かれたものは巻き物でした。

ですので、

日本舞踊の所作でも

「手紙の読み書き」の表現は巻く仕草で表します。

The gesture that the expression of "the reading and writing of the letter" winds up the conduct of the Japanese dance.

平安時代の手紙は、

もっぱら、恋の手練手管の手段だったようです。

貴族の男たちは、ラブレターを季節の花をつけた小枝に挟み、一目惚れした女性たちへ渡しました・・・

そんなプレイボーイの姿が物語や絵巻物に描かれています。

　The letter of the Heian period seems to have been a means of the hand-kneading tube of love entirely.The noble men put a love letter between the twigs with seasonal flowers and gave it to the women who fell in love at first sight.The appearance of such playboys is drawn in the story and the picture scroll of the time.
